Detailed Itinerary
DAY 01 : Arrival at Entebbe International Airport
Our Guide will warmly welcome you on arrival at Entebbe International Airport or at your hotel in Entebbe/Kampala. For the “former”, you will be transferred to your hotel where you will be briefed about your safari Itinerary. Depending on the time of arrival you are advised to have your money changed on this day, and you may also have a chance to visit Kampala city that’s about one hour drive from Entebbe. Please note: accommodation on arrival is not inclusive but can be arranged upon request.
DAY 02 : To Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.
Depart from Kampala early morning and proceed south-west, have a stopover at the Equator so as we have an opportunity for the 2 hemispheres experiment. Your drive guide takes us through savannah grasslands with sights of banana plantations and herds of Ankole Long-horned cattle with their incredibly long curved horns. Then you ascend into the Kigezi highlands, known as the “Switzerland of Africa”, with terraced farming and mountain scenery to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest.

DAY 03 : Bwindi Gorilla Trekking Adventure.
We will head to the briefing point at the park headquarters and from here you will be briefed about the Do’s and Don’ts while in the jungle/ forest with the gentle Giants. You will be provided with walking sticks because these always give support and you are also advised to have your lunch parked with enough drinking water as the trek may at sometimes take long to find a Gorilla group. The Gorillas share with us humans 95% of their genes and staring into their pondering eyes is as overwhelming as it is awesome.

3 Days Budget Gorilla Trekking Safari Tour Bwindi: trek – and closely observe – endangered mountain gorillas in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park. Bwindi Impenetrable Forest is the best place in Uganda to trek mountain gorillas. This is because the park protects half the world’s population of these rear mountain gorillas and has several habituated groups. The forest is also a birdwatcher’s paradise- with over 350 species recorded, including many Albertine Rift endemics.
On this 3 day Bwindi Budget Gorilla Trekking Safari, takes you to an adventure through the misty thick jungles of Africa’s most diverse forest, Bwindi Impenetrable Forest situated along the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) border and next to the Virunga National Park of Rwanda and on the edge of the Albertine Rift. What to Expect of the 3 days Bwindi Budget Gorilla Trekking tour
Bwindi is a pristine rainforest on the edge of the Albertine Rift Valley. The terrain is a stretch of ridges and valleys covered in very dense impenetrable forest. The main attraction we will be looking out for in Bwindi are Mountain Gorillas. Bwindi is home to a population of approximately 459 Gorilla individuals, more than a hundred are habituated. Surprisingly, Bwindi has more than 120 mammal species, which is 2nd after Queen Elizabeth NP but most of these are small forest species. The Forest Elephant is the only one of the Africa big 5 which is present, although they are rarely seen. More regularly encountered are some of the 6 antelope species, which include bushbuck and several types of duiker.
Day breaker !
The third day of the the Bwindi Budget Gorilla Trekking safari:- this is the most adventurous day of the safari/tour, because you get to embark on a real jungle trek through the misty thick forest. But gorilla trekking is no stroll in the park. It can take anywhere up to 10 hours to find the elusive creatures in the dense undergrowth.
Guides will lead trekkers up precipitous verges and across rivers, and rusty machetes are used to hack paths through the thick, thorny rain-forest. It is the perfect place to live out a childhood Tarzan fantasy, with vast swathes of trees, vines, branches and bushes surrounding trekkers as they penetrate deep into the rain-forest.
Key Note
When we finally find the gorillas, you’ll spend up-to 1 hour in there presence because that is how much time we are allowed to spend with them. You’ll be required to follow a couple of rules like no flash on your cameras, no sudden noises, no sneezing directly to the animals and other guidelines for a successful trek.

Important Information
Best time for this 3 days Bwindi Budget Gorilla Trekking : Rainfall is the main factor to consider when deciding the best time for gorilla tracking. Heavy rains result in slippery and challenging hiking trails. It can rain at any time of the year, but the time periods of June to August and December to January have less rain and are thereby considered the best time to go. However, The park stays open throughout the year.
